This 6-week discussion group is designed to offer an opportunity to discuss and explore American whiteness as a concept as well as how it affects our (perceived) shared values as American citizens.
Using the novel "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides, historic documents as well as our own immigration stories, we will continue our White Folks Discussion series and (as a group) discuss how we all suffer by accepting and not critically examining American whiteness.
This is a Brave Space and participants are invited to join us in challenging long-held American racial assumptions.
