**LOCATION CHANGE**
Join us on December 27, 2025 for our annual celebration of Kujichagulia (self-determination) at First Presbyterian Church, 136 Capital Avenue, Hartford.
Living the Nguzo Saba
As always, our Kwanzaa gathering is not just a celebration, but a practice. We will be grounding ourselves in the Nguzo Saba and spending time reflecting on how we embody these principles all year long, not just for seven days.
We’re also honored to have David Jackson, Healing Artist with Black Art Heals, joining us to live paint and interpret the gathering in real time. I’m especially excited to see how he captures our conversations, shared objects, and collective energy.
Important Registration Reminder
If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. Chef Jay will be catering, and we need to finalize dinner numbers immediately to ensure we have enough food for everyone. Registering now helps us honor his labor and plan well.

Crafting, Creating & Sharing
This will be a participatory gathering, and a laid back and chill time to visit and create together so we invite you to bring your creativity with you. If you have craft projects you’d like to work on or share, please bring them. We will have crafting time to create for ourselves and/or to make Kwanzaa gifts.
If you have something you’d like to add to our Kwanzaa table; an object, book, stone etc., you are warmly encouraged to bring it, or make something with while you’re here and add it then.
We are so looking forward to being together in this new space and hope you can join us!
